Exploring the Lubbock Science Spectrum with a Toddler

At the beginning of March for Joshua’s, and my older brother’s, birthday we decided to check out the Lubbock Science Spectrum. We are still very new to the area so this was a huge first for us. We had heard about it but didn’t really know what to expect. To sum it up the day was insane. Joshua was in heaven. There was so much to do, and I guess you could say my brother was in heaven because he was able to take ALLLLL the pictures. That being said be prepared for A LOT of photos in this blog post as well a small review of the Science Spectrum!

Of course anytime you can play with bubbles that is a win!!!!

As you walked onto the main floor of the Science Spectrum you see all sorts of fun, hands on things for Joshua to do. Joshua spent the most time at anything that involved a ball because let face it he has a slight ball obsession… only a slight one. Other than that he was so excited he spent maybe 15 seconds at every other station because there was just so much to do.

One of Joshua’s favorite parts was the designated area that he could run around and explore.

They had everything from a music room to a grocery store and a vet station. I couldn’t help but laugh when we saw the grocery store because it was a kid version of the one that Joe and my brother work at. They had everything from the Street Side Grocery Pick Up car to store brands. Even on their days off they couldn’t escape. Joshua was so cute when he explored the little vet station. He remembered the different doctor items from his stay at Cooks.

Another part of the designated toddler area that Joshua loved was the area that had all the balls. There were so many things he could do with them from sliding them down a slide or putting them in a tube full of air.

Overall the museum was a blast and we will definitely go back but will probably be waiting to purchase a membership until Joshua understands what all is going on on around him. If you made it through all those photos you are the real MVP! What are your favorite things to do with your toddler? If you are local to the Lubbock area then be sure to drop your favorite local things in the comments!
