Date days are super important. Whether its a movie or a trip time with your spouse is definitely a must. We just went on a trip to Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington for our most recent date day, so today I decided to share some of the essentials that I packed for our fun date day!
The first thing you need for your trip to Six Flags is your passes! Right now you can head to H-E-B and save big on your Six Flags tickets. The passes available at H-E-B offer up to $18 in savings for an adult day-pass or up to $8 in savings for a child day-pass. Perfect ways to save if you are planning to go on a fun date or a family fun day! (The tickets pictured above do look different from the ones on sale at H-E-B. If you need assistance finding the ones H-E-B sells, I recommend asking a sales associate so you do not miss out on savings!) #FamilyFunSavings
One of my biggest must haves when preparing for a trip to Six Flags is a fanny pack! Perfect for rides and to hold everything you need for the day! You can find super cute fanny packs on Amazon, that is where I bought this awesome holographic blue one!
Next, if you are like me and will be taking lots of photos or have a phone with a weak battery life, you will need a power bank for your phone. These are a life saver, especially with the need to share the fun with everyone social media. I totally spaced this so my phone died before I could get a lot of photos and stories in.
Also be sure to pack something that will help you stay hydrated before and after your theme park fun. Six Flags does not allow outside food or drink, so I recommend packing an ice chest with some good drinks for hydration. My go to drink is Halo Sport. (You can use code BROCKBLOG for 20% off at halosport.com)
Lastly, you need to take care of your skin! If you are planning to be out in the sun all day this is more important than the fanny pack I mentioned above! What I am packing to make sure I am protecting my skin while looking good is my Supergoop! sunscreen, a cutie pair of sunnies, and of course this trendy dad cap that I bought on Amazon!
If you plan to wear makeup, I recommend keeping it simple. For our trip I did a very natural look that lasted almost all day with no touch ups featuring CoverGirl Outlast All-Day primer and foundation, CoverGirl Exhibitionist Mascara, a simple eye look, and my new fav lippie Bougie from Killer Queens Cosmetics
