I cannot believe that we have made it through the first 2 months of 2019! The first 2 months have been honestly quite brutal for us as you may have noticed because I have not been blogging near as much. There is honestly so much going on with my family and things have just been overly stressful… stressful to the point that my body is breaking out into random rashes that I haven’t seen since I was pregnant and in college.
February started off rough with all 3 of us coming down with what we assume was the flu. We know for a fact that Joshua had both strains because we took him to the doctor then later that night we ended up taking him to the ER because he had a seizure due to a 106 degree fever. He was in his diaper on our bed while Joe and I played some Kingdom Hearts 3 then all of a sudden he start shaking and having all over muscle spasms. Luckily he is doing alright now but it was definitely scary and hard.
On a good note at the beginning of the month we became the official Youth Pastors of New Hope Church Lubbock. This is why we came to Lubbock. Our heart has been for this youth group since day 1. We love the students and are both overjoyed to be able to help them further their walk with Christ.
Also, at the beginning of the month I received my third dose of Depo Provera… it actually wore off on our anniversary trip which really SUCKED. This medicine has honestly been such a lifesaver for myself. I rarely experience adenomyosis symptoms while on the shot. That being said I had a follow up appointment with my OB/GYN on the 21st. We talked about the potential of having another child. Depo Provera is considered a long term form of birth control so it can take months to a year after for the medicine to fully run its course and exit your system. That being said my Dr. said to get pregnant first he will put me on prenatals and iron and second I need to plan to become pregnant 6+ months after I choose to stop receiving the shot. Even then there is not a guarantee that I will be able to get pregnant due to the bleeding returning. He said we pretty much need to hope that I get pregnant before my death periods show back up.
March will be a fun month as we are starting it off with a BANG. Joshua turns 3 so be prepared for all the cute Joshua photos in the March update. We are also hoping to find a place to call home at the end of March or beginning of April and once that happens I will be on the ball again with creating content. You will see ALL the blog posts. Recipes, Cleaning hacks, Beauty tips, and more. I am beyond excited to be able to cook again and can’t wait to share my favorite recipes with y’all!
How was your February? Hopefully it was AMAZING! Let me know in the comments below!
