It is so easy to spoil yourself with chocolate and food because let’s face it who doesn’t love food? But lately I’ve been spoiling myself with things to help me grow closer in my walk with the Lord. I mean… being a youth leader that is probably a good things. I love reading little books, journaling, and doing devotionals that help me further my walk with God.
I’m a very creative person so for me to enjoy reading and listening to studies I have to have music and crafty things. My journals are full of doodles, stickers, and of course notes… obviously but you will rarely find notes without the other items! It is so easy to become consumed with the what study should I do?, and Where do I even start? of it all and that is why I love Purpose Driven Essentials. They believe that you have a purpose and if you are driven you need the essentials to study and create!
I have loved my March PDE Mini Inspire box like crazy. The contents of the box have helped me learn and grow in ways that I didn’t think it would. The theme for the March Box was The Fruit Of The Spirit. From lesson 1 the devotional impacted my life tremendously.
Lesson 1 of the devotional begins with the fruit of LOVE and it talks about how God’s love for everyone is relentless. Nothing can stop it, and through that love we have victory over every circumstance. It ends that lesson devotional by asking 2 simple questions-
Do you feel loved by the father?
How can we extend the love of God to those He puts in our lives?
My answer to the first question is extremely personal as I was raised by mom after my parents divorced when I was 7 or 8. I had always longed for the love of my earthly father and once I began to realize that God was the best father of all and began to accept that He wanted me as His daughter no matter what I had done or how far gone I thought I was my life changed drastically. I mean, Y’all God… the creator of everything wants to be the father, to everyone even those who are fatherless. That is the kind of relationship I have with Him. When I pray I talk to him about everything… the good, the bad, and the ugly and He comforts me in ways only a father could comfort His daughter. SOOOOOO my answer to question number one is obviously yes, even when I’m stubborn I still feel loved by Him.
Number 2 has been a daily question that I ask myself. My biggest goal in life is to bring hope to the hopeless and to bring in the outcasts…those who are walking where I have walked. My heart breaks for those who are outcasts… even if it is by choice. I plan to extend God’s love daily by developing relationships with people that will make a difference. I want to be the person they go to because they feel comforted and because they feel God’s peace when they are with me. My daily prayer is for God to help me walk in love even in the hardest of situations.
The devotional for March is split up into 9 lessons and breaks down each fruit of the spirit!
Along with the devotional Purpose Driven Essentials provides you with some new music to jam out to. The March box had the new Rend Collective CD in it and boy was Joe happy. Joe and I love the sound of Rend Collective‘s music and honestly had no idea that there was a new album out until I opened my box. Totally not going to lie the CD was definitely the best part of the box in my opinion… it even beat out the fudge from Arndt’s Fudgery!!!
Of course the box would not be complete without journaling supplies and stickers that go with the monthly theme. I absolutely love these simple reminders that can go in any journal or planner to bring a little extra joy to your day.
Purpose Driven Essentials also has a family box that I can’t wait to try once Joshua is older! So if you are looking to spoil yourself or another Jesus loving lady then I definitely recommend this box.
