Ok y’all being a mom and being OBSESSED with makeup can be a struggle. I absolutely LOVE my high quality, expensive pieces of makeup but sometimes I just don’t have to money to go and spend $20 on each a foundation and a lipstick. I barely have $20 to spend on makeup anyways but that’s beside the point. So let’s talk drugstore makeup!

I absolutely hate buying makeup from Target or Walmart because let’s face it swatching is non-existent at those places. I like to swatch my makeup, make sure the color blends well or even goes with my skin tone. Even though you can’t swatch you can still return the makeup if it isn’t the right fit, but if you still don’t want to deal with the hassle of returning it you can always find the closest Ulta and make sure someone has you on a tight leash to keep you away from the expensive treasures you may see in there.

Just because it’s drugstore makeup doesn’t mean it’s bad quality. I’m going to say it one more time for those in the back, JUST BECAUSE IT’S DRUGSTORE MAKEUP DOESN’T MEAN IT’S BAD QUALITY. The day I was introduced to Sephora was the day I made the huge mistake to say Bye-Bye to drugstore makeup. I somehow got the stupid thought in my head that only expensive makeup would ever have the privilege to be worn on my face, and y’all that thought didn’t last long at all. All it took for me to revert back to some drugstore makeup was having a child and running out of foundation in the hot Texas summer. Since my return to the drugstore I have gotten more for my money and found some pretty amazing pieces of makeup. Obviously if I had the money to continue to buy high dollar items I would but here is this broke girl’s makeup finds for those on a tight budget!

Maybelline FitMe Matte & Poreless Foundation

If you followed along with me during the summer, specifically July when I worked a Kids Camp for 2 weeks, you will know that this foundation can stand the hot Texas heat. My face didn’t feel like it was going to melt off at all. I would say the coverage is medium and a very lightweight feel! Definitely a must have cheap foundation for those in humid climates.

Target: $5.99
Ulta: $7.99

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser

My pores are bad and when I wear makeup it shows. It doesn’t matter how I wash my face or what I wash it with… they are bad. I ran out of my SmashBox primer and people were quick to point me in the direction of this one. Honestly it goes on a lot smoother than the SmashBox primer and does it’s job well. It doesn’t do a perfect job but it does it’s job well enough for me to keep buying it.

Target: $5.29
Ulta: $6.99

NYX Green Concealer

Green concealer is LIFE! I am in love with the effects of makeup. I am prone to lots of redness and acne so green concealer is a must have for me. I have yet to find a concealer that goes on smoother than NYX. It blends amazingly and has very, very, VERY great coverage. I honestly can not live without this product. 10/10 will buy again.

Target: $3.74-$4.99
Ulta: $4.99

NYX Tame&Frame Brow Pomade

I have to admit I am and always will be obsessed with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow but if you can’t spend $18 on a brow product I recommend the NYX Tame and Frame. If you have darker brows like I do you may need to mix some of the pomade with a dark eyeshadow for better results.

Target: $6.99
Ulta: $6.99

Wet N Wild Liquid Catsuit

I am a huge fan of matter liquid lipsticks. My favorite is Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lip in the shade Lolita, but that one liquid lip is $20. I wear that shade of lipstick with every look so I needed to find either dupe, a new fav, or win the lottery. Well, I found it.. a new fav and a sort of dupe. I absolutely LOVE the Wet N Wild Liquid Catsuit in the shade Rebel Rose. If you follow me on instagram there is an 90% chance that I am wearing that very lipstick in my photos. It holds up pretty well when I eat or drink, and can last all day if I don’t have a messy meal.

Target: $2.99-$4.99

What are some of your favorite drugstore makeup brands and items? Is there anything on this list that you are wanting to try? Be sure to let me know if these are already some makeup favs or if you will be introducing them to your collection!
