How ‘Bonjour Jolie’ Pampers Postpartum Me

Let’s face it periods suck. They aren’t something you like before you are pregnant and they are definitely not a breath of fresh air when they return. Once Joshua was born I was not ready for the return of, so-called, mother nature. I went almost two years without her gracing me with her presence due to the fact that I was and still am breastfeeding my son.  When she came back boy did I need some pampering. Like seriously, give me ALL the chocolate and coffee.. I was not ready at all. My poor husband probably didn’t know at all how to handle my overly dramatic self but he was the real MVP and did everything he could to keep my iron levels up! Taco Tuesday became Taco Everyday, haha.

This month our budget has been tight so it definitely made it hard when I was wanting to be pampered and on top of that I am trying to lose weight so I couldn’t break out all the baking stuff to make some homemade cookies. The great thing about living in today’s world is that there is a subscription box for nearly everything. Need a date night? There is a box for that! Need Makeup? There is a box for that, too! Need some tampons and pampering items to make you less moody on your period? There is surprisingly a box for that!

Let’s be honest here, I have reviewed date night boxes in the past and didn’t think any other subscription box would live up to the hype of those, but when I found a box with everything I need for my period including Advil for those pesky cramps I was floored.

Bonjour Jolie is A Premium Subscription Box Designed Exclusively for You to Be Pampered on your Period! Each month the box has a new theme. April’s theme was Earth Day, and all of the goodies inside we all natural… I felt like I hit the jackpot with this box! Before I went of to school and became a stay at home mom I worked in a store that carried natural, vegan, harsh chemical free bodycare/supplements/food and that was what I specialized in so when I opened the box and saw all my goodies I recognized almost 100% of the items.

Each box comes with A Unique Gift, Bath and Body Pampering Items, Specialty Teas and Drinks, Sweet Edible Treats, up to 25 Menstrual items, Hygiene Wipes, and Advil. You can also choose to receive a box with Just The Goods and not receive and menstrual items.

The box that I received for the Month of April came with a Hikari Cosmetics Eyeshadow for The Gift.

A bath bomb from The Bomb Gals  for The Pampering.

And a long list of delectable treats and sweets for The Edibles.

Oh and of course my box came with a full box of Kotex Tampons!
