A Frequent Dyer’s Guide To Healthy Hair

Disclaimer: These items were gifted to me for an honest review. All opinions are mine and mine alone!

Being a frequent dyer, one of the questions I hear all the time, “How is your hair so healthy?” This question has never taken me by surprise, because let’s face it my hair has been every color of the rainbow and bleached more times than you can count on one hand. It is so easy to over process your hair to the point of what feels like no return and to be completely honest with you my hair has only be to that point once… and it wasn’t even because of dye, bleach, or heat.

    The Girl With Mermaid Hair

There are many ways that someone can express who they are. A person’s physical appearance is often one of those ways. The way you dress, the way you do your makeup, and the way you do your hair can all reflect the person you are whether you realize it or not. Until people get to know me and until I get over my anxiety, people assume I am a quite person who would much rather keep to myself than hold a fun conversation, but they are sadly mistaken. My husband and friends will be the first to tell you that I am the polar opposite of that and will talk your ear off once I get to know you.

If you have been following along with me on Instagram then you know that I just went through a pretty drastic change, and for those of you who don’t follow me on Instagram… you need to, just saying. I dyed my hair! I didn’t go to a salon because let’s be honest what stay at home mom has the money to totally change their hair? Not me, that’s for sure. Before we start I want to say that I am not a licensed professional but I do have LOTS of experience dyeing hair, my own as well as friends and family who are close to me. If you are wanting to do something drastic to your hair and you have little to no experience doing hair then please go to  professional. Actually scratch that… even if you have experience you should probably go to a professional. BUT if you are stubborn like me and do it at home please note that everyone’s hair is different and will react differently to the chemicals used. Just because my hair is still healthy as ever and curlier than when I started doesn’t mean your hair will have the same fate. If you still don’t head my warning I am in no way responsible and can not be held liable for what happens to your hair! Also be sure to note that the bleach and dye can and will most likely stain your clothes and skin so take any necessary precautions to prevent that from happening.

Bath Time with little ones call for extra care and a watchful eye. Nowadays not only do you have to watch your child in the bath but you have to watch what products you get. Joshua was born with sensitive skin so we have learned that we have to watch what we put on him. When he was itty-bitty he had acne worse than most teenagers and then as he grew older we found out that he had eczema that can be triggered by certain ingredients in detergents, body washes, and lotions.
