How to Keep Your Skin Moisturized During Winter

When the weather gets colder even the oiliest of skin can begin to dry out. I am very picky with the items I use to moisturize my skin, especially my face. Usually I use argan oil because it does the trick and is super lightweight but it doesn’t provide moisture for long periods of time if you have dry skin. Have you ever heard that you should change your skincare routine with the seasons? I have once or twice and it is something I live by. My skin is extremely moody so one day it may be oily and the next feel like sandpaper in spots. Kinda exaggerating but trust me it gets dry. Once it gets to a certain temperature argan oil just doesn’t work for me and I need an actual moisturizer.

Say Good Bye To Mombie Eyes

Sponsored Post on behalf of VIICode Beauty written by me. All opinions and words are mine and mine alone.

Raise your hand if you feel like a mombie! My definition of a mombie is the mom that hardly get her 8 hours of sleep, the mom who uses the fullest coverage under eye concealer you can buy, AND drinks an unhealthy amount of coffee (or tea). I will be the first to tell you I am a mombie and when I don’t wear makeup it shows. My beautiful hazel eyes have always been accented by bags, fine lines, and dark circles. I am not even 20 yet and I have some pretty defined lines under my eyes from lack of sleep, but I guess that is what happens when a night owl has a child.

Beauty 101: Makeup On A Budget

This blog post contains affiliate links, meaning each time you purchase an item from the links in this post you help The Brock Blog grow and stay on the internet, so happy shopping!

Ok y’all being a mom and being OBSESSED with makeup can be a struggle. I absolutely LOVE my high quality, expensive pieces of makeup but sometimes I just don’t have to money to go and spend $20 on each a foundation and a lipstick. I barely have $20 to spend on makeup anyways but that’s beside the point. So let’s talk drugstore makeup!

I absolutely hate buying makeup from Target or Walmart because let’s face it swatching is non-existent at those places. I like to swatch my makeup, make sure the color blends well or even goes with my skin tone. Even though you can’t swatch you can still return the makeup if it isn’t the right fit, but if you still don’t want to deal with the hassle of returning it you can always find the closest Ulta and make sure someone has you on a tight leash to keep you away from the expensive treasures you may see in there.

Obsessed with Face Masks? Me Too.

Sponsored post on behalf of Hard Night Good Morning. All text and opinions are my own.

“Hi, My name is Jennifer and I am obsessed with face masks.”

In the beauty industry new trends are always popping up. The one trend that seems to have taken 2017 by storm is FACE MASKS! Everyone seems to be addicted to every kind of face mask out there. No, I am not talking about those creepy Halloween masks. I am talking about peel masks, clay masks, sheet masks, and gel masks. I’m sure there are other ones out there but these are the four that I have seen taking the world by storm and have actually tried.  In this post I won’t be getting into the peel mask because I feel like that specific type of mask deserves a post all of it’s own, but I will be touching on the other three that I mentioned.
