Mother’s Day is right around the corner. This coming Mother’s Day will be the second time that I celebrate Mother’s Day as a mother myself. When I was younger I never really wanted to be a mom. Let’s face it periods suck. They aren’t something you like before you are pregnant and they are definitely not a breath of fresh air when they return. Once Joshua was born I was not ready for the return of, so-called, mother nature. I went almost two years without her gracing me with her presence due to the fact that I was and still am breastfeeding my son. When she came back boy did I need some pampering. Like seriously, give me ALL the chocolate and coffee.. I was not ready at all. My poor husband probably didn’t know at all how to handle my overly dramatic self but he was the real MVP and did everything he could to keep my iron levels up! Taco Tuesday became Taco Everyday, haha.
This month our budget has been tight so it definitely made it hard when I was wanting to be pampered and on top of that I am trying to lose weight so I couldn’t break out all the baking stuff to make some homemade cookies.
