Let’s talk about makeup! COVERGIRL just launched four premium eyeshadow palettes at Walmart. Each palette has such a wide variety of colors that are pigmented and perfect for so many different looks. Each palette is less than $15 at Walmart and so worth the money… especially if you love owning a variety of pigmented colors and palettes for any occasion.

Each palette has something special about it and includes various matte and shimmer shades. The COVERGIRL Ascension eyeshadow palette with soft cool toned neutral shades. In this palette you will find some pinks and champagnes that are as gracefully pigmented as they look!

The COVERGIRL Overthrown eyeshadow palette is, in my opinion, the complete opposite of Ascension, in packaging as well as shades. Overthrown is full of dark and rich powerfully pigmented shadows. This palette includes a gorgeous cobalt blue, smokey green, maroon and more to create the perfect smokey eye look.

The COVERGIRL Reign eyeshadow palette is royally beautiful! This palette is filled with rich golds, regal blues, and nudes. A palette fit for a queen if you ask me!

The last of the four palettes is the COVERGIRL Revolution eyeshadow palette. Revolution is full of intensely pigmented shades including a powerful burnt orange, a fiery burgundy, and more.

Today, I am going to be using the new COVERGIRL Overthrown eyeshadow palette to create this gorgeous yet simple smokey eye! As a mom, I may not always have the time to spend more than 20 minutes on my makeup so when it comes to smokey eyes I try to avoid them. Once I dove into the COVERGIRL Overthrown eyeshadow palette and played around I found the best shades for a 3 step smokey eye with a pop of color… of course!!

Before you start the look you want to start with a blank canvas! I started by priming my eyes and concealing any dark spots or circles around your eyes. Starting with a blank canvas helps the color live to its full potential and is so important!

Once your eyes are primed and concealed you are ready to go! The first step in creating this simple look to brush the shade Alter Ego across your lid. I prefer to use a flat, concealer like brush so I can pack the color onto my lid but you can use whichever brush you are comfortable with.

Once my lid was bronzed and the color was packed on, I took the shade wreckage, which is a gorgeous maroon/purple shade, and began to gently build that shade up in my crease and the outer corner of my eye making sure everything was blended beautifully.

For the last step of the smokey eye before adding mascara is obviously lining your eye! If you are wanting something a little more dramatic then I highly recommend adding a wing with your favorite liquid liner, but for those of us who are strapped on time I used the shade Swiped to line both my upper and lower lash line. Not only is it a quick way to line your eyes but it is also a great way to add a pop of color!

Once your eyes are lined throw on some mascara, finish your regular makeup routine, and you are ready for a fun date with your husband or a night out with the girls!

This look is by far my new go to for when I want to feel fierce and this is just one look of many that you can create with the COVERGIRL Overthrown Palette. The new COVERGIRL premium eyeshadow palettes honestly give you so many different shades to inspire and create so many beautiful looks!
