My Nightly Skincare Routine

When your skin is prone to break outs like mine it is a necessity to have some sort of nightly routine. I know how easy it is to neglect your skin and come up with excuses to sleep in that day’s makeup, if you had the chance to put it on that day, but we have all done it once or twice. Today I am going to be sharing some products with y’all that really help my skin stay healthy and help me feel refreshed.

First things first I wipe the palette clean. I get all the dirt and makeup from the day off my face by putting coconut oil on. Y’all if you want a good makeup remover that doesn’t dry your skin out, I HIGHLY recommend coconut oil. A little bit goes a long way so one jar will last you forever. I use coconut oil for everything.. my hair, my tattoos, my face, even shaving cream. It does wonders for the skin!

After I rinse off the coconut oil and get most of the makeup off I use Hard Night Good Morning’s PM Oil Cleanser/Makeup Remover. I have been using this stuff for almost a year now and I love it. It also helps when you need to get that pesky lash glue and excess mascara off of you falsies so you can reuse them.

I follow that up with my Hard Night Good Morning Detox Toner and Hard Night Good Morning Facial Cocktail Serum. The toner is completely refreshing and will help replenish you PH balance. I absolutely LOVE the serum. This is one of Hard Night Good Morning’s best selling products and I see why. I never really used a serum before because I didn’t like the feel of them. Every one I tried, cheap or expensive, felt like I had a layer of something caked on my face. This serum goes on smoothly and it is such a lightweight formula you don’t even realize it’s on.

Lastly I use only one small pump of Ultimate Argan Oil’s Argan Oil Treatment. This oil does not leave my skin feeling oily but it leaves it feeling soft as a cloud, plus it smells good. It makes a great base for my makeup and keeps my skin from peeling or looking rough under all the foundation and concealer if I apply it during my morning routine.

Once a week in between the wash and the follow up I like to do a clay mask to help clear out my pores and make them less noticeable for when I apply my makeup. I use my all time FAVORITE mask. Yes, it is a Hard Night Good Morning product but when you find something good why not try the whole line? I use the Detox Mineral Masque that I shared in a previous post that is all about my face mask obsession and Hard Night Good Morning’s masks. This mask actually gets in and cleans out your pores. My favorite thing about it is you can see it working as the mask dries. When the mask dries you can see it at works in your pores by the difference in color. When I wear the mask and look at a place that had large pores, the pores are actually a darker shade of orange than the rest of my mask.  If you want to know more about that mask click here.

The wash cloths that I use for all of my makeup and face cleaning are handmade by Purposeful Stitches. Purposeful Stitches is a small business that is dedicated to helping fund mission trips. With the exception of the cost of materials Purposeful Stitches donates 100% of their proceeds to missions. The first mission trip they are funding is my sister in law’s mission trip to Uganda and I couldn’t be more proud of her.

If you know me you know how much I love a brand that gives back and Purposeful Stitches gives back in a way that no many shops do. They go above and beyond to help fund something that is super close to my heart and bring you high quality products. I attended bible college with the hopes of majoring in missions ministry so this is a cause that I can back.

Purposeful stitches sells multiple different products including hair towels, face cloths, and kitchen cloths. Purposeful Stitches also creates burpees (burp rags) and on request, blankets! Currently they are running a promotion that if you mention this blog post or The Brock Blog in any way you will receive 20% off you order!

What items do you use in your nightly routine? Let me know in the comments, and be sure to take advantage of the 20% from Purposeful Stitches. Don’t forget all proceeds, minus the cost of materials, goes towards helping fund mission trips!

As Always Keep Smiling,
