Being a frequent dyer, one of the questions I hear all the time, “How is your hair so healthy?” This question has never taken me by surprise, because let’s face it my hair has been every color of the rainbow and bleached more times than you can count on one hand. It is so easy to over process your hair to the point of what feels like no return and to be completely honest with you my hair has only be to that point once… and it wasn’t even because of dye, bleach, or heat.
One thing I swear by is saying Bye-Bye to sulfates. Since day 1 of dying my hair bright and beautiful colors I stopped using hair products with these nasty chemicals in it. Currently my favorite shampoo and conditioner duo is the Hydrating Shampoo and Hydrating Conditioner from Ultimate Argan Oil. One of the many things that I love about this shampoo and conditioner duo is that they are both ideal for people with color treated or heat processed hair. The shampoo not only gently but deeply cleans, it also hydrates so you don’t have to use as much conditioner.
Another way that I keep my hair so healthy and soft is by using a hair mask biweekly, since I only wash my hair once a week. Ultimate Argan Oil has an argan oil Instant Repair Mask that works hand and hand with the products mentioned above. This mask is a thick cream that you distribute evenly throughout your hair. You don’t need too much, especially if your hair is naturally wavy or curly like mine. I use the recommended amount which is a teaspoon and boy does my hair feel soft!
I’m convinced that Ultimate Argan Oil has created a super team of products. With the Shampoo and Conditioner being the super heroes, followed by the hair mask and Argan Oil Treatment being the much needed sidekicks. This next, favorite product of mine is that specific oil treatment. The Argan Oil Treatment is a double duty oil that you can use on your skin as well as in your hair. I use this oil opposite of the hair mask and in place of my face moisturizer because I have yet to find something that adds such a great glow and feeling to my face. I learned the hard way that a little bit of this oil goes a LONG way, especially if you don’t was super oily skin or hair.
One thing that I have learned in the many years of many bright colors is that my hair is always healthier when it has been dyed. Why? The reason is simple. My hair is healthier because I put so much more effort into taking care of it. My hair shines bright all week long, the color is vibrant, and my curls are still there.
